Shiba Inu exchange inflows have dropped sharply, with the seven-day average of mean SHIB inflows falling 82.71% in 24 hours, according to CryptoQuant data. The decline measures the average size of SHIB deposits to exchanges, not the total number of tokens entering trading platforms.
The sharper move comes alongside largely unchanged exchange reserves. CryptoQuant data showed about 87.38 trillion SHIB remained on exchanges, up just 0.05% over the same period.
Average SHIB Deposit Size Drops
The 82.71% decline applies to CryptoQuant's seven-day average of mean exchange inflows. The metric tracks the average amount of SHIB transferred to exchanges per inflow transaction, making it different from total exchange inflows or net exchange flows.
That distinction matters when reading the latest move. The data show a sharp reduction in the average size of deposits, but they do not show that SHIB exchange balances fell by 82.71%.
CryptoQuant's exchange-reserve data instead put the balance near 87.38 trillion SHIB. The figure was little changed on the day, rising 0.05%, leaving the amount held on exchanges broadly stable.
87.38 Trillion SHIB Still on Exchanges
The reserve figure provides a different view of the market than the inflow metric. While the average size of new deposits fell sharply, the amount of SHIB already held across exchanges remained close to the same level.
That means the latest data do not show a comparable reduction in exchange-held supply. They show slower average deposit activity against a relatively stable pool of tokens already sitting on trading platforms.
Exchange reserves are closely watched because tokens held on exchanges can be transferred into the market without first being moved from private wallets. But reserve levels alone do not establish whether holders intend to sell.
The latest figures therefore provide no basis for saying that the 82.71% drop in mean inflows has removed a similar amount of potential supply from exchanges.
SHIB Price Moves Higher
SHIB was trading around $0.00000454 when the latest market figures were recorded, up 1.41% over 24 hours. Trading volume was about $82.3 million, an increase of more than 60% over the same period.
The token remained down 2.47% over the previous seven days, leaving the latest daily gain against a weaker weekly performance.
The price move also came as the exchange-flow data changed. But the available figures do not establish that the decline in mean inflow size caused the daily price increase.
Instead, the data show several separate market movements: smaller average deposits, largely unchanged exchange reserves, higher daily trading volume and a modest one-day gain in SHIB.
What The Inflow Drop Shows
The latest CryptoQuant reading points to a sharp change in the size of SHIB deposits reaching exchanges. It does not, by itself, show that total selling activity has fallen by the same percentage.
Mean inflow can change because of differences in transaction size, even when the broader flow of tokens to exchanges follows a different pattern. For that reason, the 82.71% figure should be read specifically as a change in the average inflow measure.
The reserve figure adds another layer. At roughly 87.38 trillion SHIB, exchange-held supply remained close to its previous level rather than falling sharply alongside the mean-inflow metric.
That leaves the latest market picture defined by a clear divergence: the average size of SHIB deposits to exchanges has fallen sharply, while the amount of SHIB already held on exchanges has barely changed.
The next exchange-flow readings will show whether the drop in mean inflows persists and whether it eventually appears in broader reserve data.
